“Hi, Barbie!” This week we attended the cinematic event of the year, Barbenheimer! A double feature of Barbie and Oppenheimer in one day! To start off, we catch-up and chat about the fun of seeing both films and why we picked the order we did. (0:31) Then we rollerblade to Barbieland to gab about all things Barbie, what we liked and didn’t like, the genius of Greta Gerwig, and so much more (12:45). After we have kenough, we head to our local physics lab to discuss Oppenheimer. We try describe the power of the trinity test scene, Nolan’s writing of women, moral quandaries and if he stuck the landing (32:06). As always, we end with our SOTW (1:08:00).
