Family Matters - A Convo with My Mother
Listen now
Description
In this episode, I sat down with my Mother and had a conversation about my childhood, trauma, setting boundaries, and how we have managed to navigate our relationship while living with mental health issues. We talk about how important it is to have open forms of communication, as well as how generational teachings factor in to parent-child relationships when it comes to talking about and understanding mental health. Our relationship had not always been as open as it is now, but we have learned how to respect each other as individuals as well as learn from each other about what we need to function. As always, feel free to reach out if you have any comments or feedback about this episode on my Instagram @journey.bound. I just wanted to let you know that you are loved and I am so proud of you for being here 💜
