“I’ve been listening to the podcast since episode one. I’m a white guy from LA who’s been studying Mandarin for about 5 years now.
I love the show so much, there really isn’t another one like it. The interviews are always fun, and informative. The advice given is insightful. Hearing from people who’ve been through the grind and achieved fluency is so valuable.
When I was in China back in July 2019 on a Sunday, I remember getting a notification that podcast dropped. I was so thrilled cause it normally comes out on Mondays--it was like a gift. So I listened to it while I was at Shanghai Disneyland by myself. Also, when I was back in China in December 2019, Jared or John recommended people go try the China-exclusive Toffee Starbucks drink—I ordered one the same day and drank several more after that haha.
Keep it up guys!
