READ THE BOOKS!
This podcast preaches the powerful tool of comprehensive input which if anyone else has done boring chinese classes probably never tried aside from “王朋好帅啊”. This is the missing piece to turn boring abstract concepts like grammar into something you can feel out just like how you can feel out just like your native language. Thanks to Comprehensive Input in only 4 months, I went from taking a month to read Emma to reading both Great Expectations in 2 days. Thank You John and Jarred! Here’s hoping for those Level 3 books soon because Intermediate chinese content is pretty limited!! P.S. to my Fellow Learners: Please avoid translating in your head too much. My friend strangely enough learned to only read quickly mapping characters to English pronunciation.

More reviews of You Can Learn Chinese
Hello, I’m from Taiwan and I’d like to be a Chinese teacher in the future. Although I know this podcast is for people who want to learn Chinese. But for me, it is really awesome. I can know the perspectives from Chinese language learners. Thanks a lot! Hope you can do more:)

And that’s just part 1. Is there someone who’s actually trying to learn Chinese this way and...Read full review »
