“I may have to take this off my rotation, I don’t want to say anything mean as I know words matter..but Ariel has been really rubbing me the wrong way the past couple episodes. Her opinions can come across quite tone deaf and as I have read in other reviews she tends to ramble about the most random topics. (The whole 4oh11 / 411 thing was very annoying to listen too like..why?). What just put me over the edge was the blatant disregard of the Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson suberbowl controversy. Saying that if he had taken off Janet’s clothes (which he did..not sure why Becky’s google search didn’t clear that up) would have been classified as assault if he had done it, completely overlooked the time period, the white male privilege Justin had/has, and the fact that Janet Jackson is a black woman so of course the blame went on her and Justin never suffered any consequences. If you’re going to discuss topics like this please do your research and remember try to keep your white woman privilege in check.”
