Nah, not worth it. Major letdown.
I was really looking forward to this podcast. Points for an attempt at creativity, but the choice to bring this story to life through badly acted reenactment / narrative is so thoroughly annoying that I struggled to make it through the first episode. I tuned in to hear a true crime / mystery that was seeking to find answers and advocate for the victim’s family to uncover the truth. Instead I found myself listening to an incredibly pointless back and forth narrative that sounded like a cheap online ebook that had no plot, substance or objective, occasionally interrupted by a narrator with nothing much to say but who obviously believes she’s interesting and likeable. By the end of the first episode I knew nothing about the victim or the unanswered questions of the case. I feel like I just eavesdropped on an annoying and boring family that was bickering and doing annoying and boring family stuff. Hate to be a hater, but this was just straight up superfluous and bad.

Addictive, binged it all in one night but there better be a second season, you can’t just leave us with that ending!!

Really good. Very immersive. Best audio drama I’ve heard in ages and I listen to a lot.
