Listen now
Description
Vanessa Bicomong is director of long-time Mommy Mundo partner, The Learning Library. For over 15 years, The Learning Library has been offering Reading and Writing programs and tutorials for students age 3-16 and have been helping children develop Excellence in Reading and Confidence in Filipino. If you want to help your own children love reading and appreciate the Filipino language, and be independent learners, The Learning Library will be glad to help you. As part of their advocacy, they conduct webinars on reading and Filipino language learning -- that's what we are enjoying today. Vanessa is a mother of 3 children age 20, 18, and 11 -- all avid readers. She has been doing parent talks for many years, and finds fulfilment in helping many mothers instill the love of reading and the appreciation of the Filipino language in their children. Apart from a sharing of fun stories on her as a career woman and her family life, in this episode Vanny will cover practical tips on how to improve our kids’ fluency in Tagalog, written or otherwise, apart from how your kids can become better readers and never loose their love for languages and learning.
