From you’re one subscriber from Leonard Wood! You continue to push me musically but I enjoy the hang with Peter and Adam! Thanks for being a blessing to other musicians!

My jazz chops aren’t great. Heck I don’t even play piano. But somehow I still feel welcome and like I can pull useful nuggets from each episode. This show keeps me inspired to keep practicing and learning. Not sure what I mean? Have a listen, you’ll hear it!

Been loving slowly binging through everything… love it. Just listened to the favorite non-Jazz solos episode… one I’d like to throw in for honorable mention is on the song by John Martyn entitled, “Small Hours”. Steve Winwood plays a mean AND beautiful synth solo. Keep up the great work! BESPOKE...Read full review »

Adam and Peter, (or Peter and Adam, depending upon who’s talking first), are like my personal living room coaches who deliver insightful advice and inspiration with the perfect amount of chuckles and self-deprecation. Whenever I’m in a slump, I’ll listen to an episode, even if I listened to it...Read full review »

7 stars. I started listening to You’ll Hear It when I was first fiddling with ‘Autumn Leaves’ on my kid’s keyboard during lockdown. Adam and Peter are so informative and engaging, have such brilliant chemistry, and obviously amazing chops, and they’re so funny, I’ve listened to a zillion episodes...Read full review »

Very informative and entertaining podcast

I enjoy Adam Maness, he offers a lot of interesting insight and valuable advice. Peter Martin seems like he has places he’d rather be. I’d rather Martin just stepped away and let Maness run things rather than just mail it in.

Informative, inspiring and entertaining. Can’t say enough good things about this podcast, learned so much all while having a good time!

Dang between this podcast & the YouTube shorts- I have enough to practice way beyond my lifespan! Been a member of open studio for a while now & I still learn something new every day.

I just discovered this podcast a few weeks ago, and I am HOOKED! Great conversations between Peter and Adam everytime. I love the balance between the funny but also real/serious side of being a jazz musician. I love the personal stories. It’s always a good hang. I’ve gotten inspired with new...Read full review »

For anyone looking to understand alot (like, a ton) more about this music, this is the best pod I’ve found, bar none. Adam and Poodles are hilarious which helps with delivering info on a musical study in which many other educators are really too darn serious and full of themselves and vibey...Read full review »

I love the show, especially on YouTube where it’s fun to see your facial expressions when you play musical examples to illustrate what you’re talking about. It’s great to hear two high level musicians like yourself share your thoughts about music. Guitar is my main instrument and one topic I...Read full review »

You’ll Hear It is for sure the funniest podcast about Jazz you could imagine – highly informative and entertaining at the same time - the perfect mix. I live in a small Swiss village. So I don’t get the chance very often to listen to great live concerts. But last year I was lucky enough to...Read full review »

Thanks for this podcast. I love it! It’s so satisfying to hear accomplished musicians discuss, examine, and explore the realm of jazz theory. This podcast is just what I want to listen to. It’s piano focused but it’s relevant for any musician. Much appreciated!

Peter, Adam; I'm super grateful to have stumbled across you guys while searching for inspiration as I reconnect with the piano, and the creative process of playing, after many years of dormancy. Adam’s YT video on Charlie Parker’s Bebop Riffs was an excellent analysis of the riffs in Charlie’s toolbox that drew me to this podcast. Academiologists that beat up Adam up on his terminology and semantics missed the bigger point; Adam analyzed Charlie’s playing on that one song till he found a...Read full review »

If you want to learn a language, go live where they speak it and immerse yourself. This is the place to learn the language of music and jazz. As they approach their one-thousandth podcast episode, it’s about time that I write a review. I believe that I’ve listened to all the episodes at least once. They asked me to review the podcast 7 stars. I tried. Still 5 stars. Seriously, the best podcast on music along with Pablo Held investigates. One of the few that focuses on the nitty gritty of the music.

This is the best podcast ever.. even if you don’t like jazz the chemistry between the two hosts is amazing. Maybe you should be in to jazz a little because it’s all they talk about… but I am into jazz so will give them 7 stars

There is nearly always something worth learning in each episode. I had to laugh at the “Funkify” episode though. They couldn’t find the groove and never realized it. Too jazzy for their own good.
