“As they approach their one-thousandth podcast episode, it’s about time that I write a review. I believe that I’ve listened to all the episodes at least once. I think it’s the variety that keeps me coming back. That is, Peter and Adam keep switching up the tone and content. Although it’s (almost) always music-focused, it ranges from well-informed listening sessions and criticism to theory to motivation to voicing techniques to personal anecdotes, all with an appropriate combination of expertise, humor, and humility.
They’ve inspired me, a bass player, to start studying and playing piano and, although I’m early in my musical journey (but late in my earthly journey), it’s improved my bass-playing, my musical knowledge and, indeed, my quality of life, immeasurably. I can’t recommend “You’ll Hear It” highly enough.”
