Interesting but distinctly lacks a female perspective on male voilence
Interesting content but I feel like Ryan wants a particular outcome so pushes that angle and never really provides a counter perspective with equal weight. We shouldn’t forget we are dealing with a violent criminal who’s murdered before and subjected women to violent sexual assaults and rape - Fact. He was in the area and stole their car - Fact. To my mind the probabilities lie squarely with the animal locked up. Nothing uncovered here has changed my mind on that. There are counter arguments for all the ‘new leads’. I can see there was some dodgy eye witnesses which is not great, but we are also dealing with a convicted criminal who has little credibility and is known to be very smart. ALL criminals are liars, none of them credible. One thing that really annoyed me was Ryan not believing a traumatised woman could freeze. This is a hugely researched response to male on female violence and VERY believable. Imagine being a 20 year old who may have seen her fiancé murdered (or threatened to be murdered), been subject to rape and she’s with a man with an axe who tells her - you say a word and I’ll murder both these people like I did to your fiance.

I was looking forward to this podcast because it had been given so many stellar reviews. Much to my surprise it was another poorly made podcast where the host had ZERO investigative skills & provides very little discussion about the evidence or suspects in the case & uses interviews with...Read full review »
