As with all Roifield Brown productions, this podcast is such an enjoyable and easy listen. I am intrigued about who future guests will be, but if the first couple are anything to go by then we are in for a treat. How welcome it is to hear from people with colourful stories as well as being people...Read full review »

I want to have conversations with people of colour which don’t just centre on our race and ethnicity. Yes, that’s an important part of who we are, but not the only thing. Hopefully this series will provide nuance light and shade between experiences of folk from the UK, the US and around the world...Read full review »

I’m not a person who would give time to Calvin Robinson, but Roifield left room for Calvin to talk, but not overly so. Calvin can come across as an ogre, but not via this interview, which made it a great listen. Good work Mr Brown, Leon.

Roifield’s conversation with Calvin Robinson was fascinating. Brilliant questions, interesting answers, all round good value from Mr Brown and guest.

As a TU rep with some knowledge of representing people trying to juggle addiction issues and their work life I found the episode about hope house very enlightening. It's a great idea for a podcast and I hope there are more to come. Great job RoifieldRead full review »

I had heard Roifield was working on this podcast, via one of his other amazing podcasts (Dum Tee Dum). I wanted to listen to it as addiction has had a devastating effect on my family. The podcast was amazing. The subject matter was dealt with in such a thought-provoking and sensitive way. The...Read full review »

Like all of Roifield Brown's podcasts this is a jewel. It delves into that most personal of mediums, the private and personal conversation and weaves these into touching narratives. I can't recommend this enough and is a must-listen.Read full review »

This podcast uses first-hand testimonies of women connected to Hope House, a centre for the treatment of addiction and other compulsive disorders. What makes 1001 conversations special is the immediacy of the real voices and emotions you hear. At times painful and raw, always starkly honest, and...Read full review »

An honest and, in the case of the first episode, unflinching insight into peoples lives. Compulsive listening that challenges preconceptions. Excellent podcast.

What a triumph from Roifield - difficult stories, wonderfully intertwined made for fascinating listening. Lesson to be learnt ; never judge a book by its cover. Have tissues, you will cry! Thanks Roifield.

People telling it how it is. Beautifully done as always. If you enjoy listening to ordinary people with interesting tales then this is for you. Looking forward to more. Well done Roif!

I downloaded this new podcast from Roifield as I enjoy some of his other broadcasts. The subject is one close to my heart and I have seen the work of the likes of Hope House largely failing a close family member. So I began listening with a little weariness. But I am delighted to say that the...Read full review »

Always a joy to listen to a Roifield Brown production. Intelligent, honest and handled with a respect and love of storytelling and education. I listen to everything he puts out and this is another winner.
