Tracking my teens
Alan Shepherd became the first American in space when I lay in hospital, nine years old. As Jim Lovell flew around the moon at Christmas 1968 I unwrapped my copy of Axis Bold As Love - Jimi Hendrix- I was a 17 college student. When Apollo 13 went wrong I was 19 year old student entirely captivated, minute by minute. But in July 1969, the apogee, I was 18, at home, drunk and trying to stay awake with my parents as we gazed endlessly at a shadowy image of a spacecraft leg and waited for someone to emerge. Thank you for this engrossing opportunity to grasp the enormity of of the flight, the decade and my teens!

I love this podcast. Every episode takes me back to the time I watched the moon landing as a 7 year old boy with my mom live on TV.

The BBC has a great tendency to direct all their programme to 8year olds and younger. This podcast is the exception. I can’t rate it highly enough! Plenty of unheard info and decent detail throughout. Music great. Kevin’s narration perfect. More like this. More OF this please!!!

One of the great engineering achievements of all time, too young to have witnessed it, but having stood under a Saturn 5, I can’t wait to hear insight into how it happened
