Found this podcast via another podcast called The Infinite Monkey Cage. I first heard of Dr Kevin Fong there too and by gosh is the anything that man hasn’t done. Music great host is great and so are the interviews. If you could do season 3 on sts-1. There’s a story there that not very well known.

When I was a kid I was fascinated by the shuttle program, this pod cast will make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.

Probably the best podcast

Superb series. Fantastic technical details matched with life or death drama. Even though you know the outcome the tension is almost unbearable.

Great show , I can’t stop listening . I know it’s about something that happened 50 years ago but I’m still sitting on the edge of my seat!!

I have loved both series, but felt compelled to write a review after finishing the second bonus interview with John Aaron. Both this and the interview with Jim Lovell were outstanding. Always very interesting but at times very moving and also hilarious. Two absolute legends.

Not a space geek but this is an incredibly captivating podcast. Informative, fascinating and moving, worth listening to whether the subject initially interests you or not.

Loved Season 1, but Season 2 is more gripping than a tense drama series (even knowing how it all pans out). The clarity of explanation is superb, too.

Very nice storytelling!

I’m not into space etc. But this was brilliant. Series 2 may even be better. Passed it on to my wife. She said the same. Superb interviews, clips and presenter. The characters are brilliant. I’m hooked.

Fantastic podcast. Took a break from the true crime theme and absolutely loved this. Season 1 was amazing and Season 2 even better. No spoilers but the research, attention to detail and awe inspiring music paint such a vivid picture, you can almost close your eyes and see it. Will be amazed if...Read full review »

I just found this podcast recently and it is amazing! As a kid growing up in the 60s the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo astronauts were my heroes. This podcast provides so much insight into the program that I wasn’t aware of. Thank you so much BBC. You are the best.

I’m a project Apollo super nerd, and I love hearing new fragments of info to learn more. This podcast is very well done. My only (picky) critique, is Kevin’s delivery can at times be slightly over-polished and affected, rather than genuine and less formal or conversational. I have incredible...Read full review »

This has been one of the best podcasts ever. It’s informative and extremely entertaining. Thank you for putting it all on the record since we are losing so many of our astronaut and mission control pioneers. Their contributions will never be forgotten. Amazing story. Thanks again.

This remarkable series brought the wonder and audacity of the whole project - and the size of the achievement home to me for the first time.
