Depends on What You’re Looking For
If you’re looking for a podcast about the socio-political legacy of slavery from the perspective of a progressive black liberal struggling with their identity, then you’ll probably enjoy this. If you’re looking for a straight up history podcast like I was, you’ll probably dislike it. However, beyond that, there are still some issues. Mainly, the structure of the podcast could and probably should have been based more closely on chronology as opposed to the time-jumping disjointed mess of a story in each episode. Additionally, some of the parts of that podcast that are supposed to be truly historical can occasionally be so distorted by modern ideology that the podcast can be frustrating to listen to at times.
