Funny, insightful, engrossing. Even my wife and 13-year-old daughter love it.

A card(or two or sometimes three) a week, every week, forever. Or at least until they finish the whole set. This podcast tells the story of each player, adding in other historical notes, music, humor, mascot chat, and other random silliness. If you are a fan of 80s baseball they will talk about...Read full review »

Without a doubt one of the best podcasts there is. The research on each player is 2nd to none and adds so much depth to the discussions. Absolutely love it!

As soon as this podcast hits the feed it’s a must-listen. Matt and David mix nostalgia with tremendous research that surfaces incredible stories about EVERY player—no matter how small you may think his mark was on the game. This podcast is an achievement.

When you’re a kid all the info you knew about a player was on the back of the card, now we have all the info at our fingertips. David and Matt do a great job delving into some wonderful tidbits and minutia about each player, and the stories behind the picture on the front and the stats on the back.

Great podcast! The guys do a great job of balancing stats, comedy and nostalgia! I look forward to each episode.

I am so glad that I came across the 1988 Topps podcast. Matt and David do a tremendous job of going through each card and giving their takes on each player’s career. If you want to take a little trip back in time, give this podcast a listen. It’s been a weekly treat for myself.

I was originally looking for a podcast on vintage Spanish appetizers (1988 Tapas) but this podcast is even better. Funny, informative and entertaining, especially if you’re a baseball fan, but even if you aren’t. Great show

Highly recommend this podcast to anyone that analyzed, sorted, and loved looking at their baseball cards as a kid. These are the stories of our cardboard gods growing up!

I’ve really been enjoying this podcast. Been meaning to reach out and connect with these guys but wanted to leave a quick review. 1988 Topps was the first series that got me into collecting baseball cards to begin with, shortly before I turned eight. I’m deeply familiar with every card in the set...Read full review »

I have my 7-year-old son listening to this now with me in the car. Absolutely love the RBI Baseball corner! Thanks for committing to this series.

So much nitty gritty is shared about each player. Even the commons are interesting! Fun podcast to listen to and learn about cards we collected as kids.

A podcast that goes card by card through the 1988 Topps baseball cards? Completely unnecessary but completely enjoyable! The hosts are knowledgeable and share the pure enjoyment of baseball stories.

Best offseason podcast I’ve found. Could you cover Tony Pena or another catcher?

It may be true that I loaned out my podcasting equipment to help make this show happen—but I’m proud to play a role in its development. David and Matt have miraculously made the discussion of a deck of cards that’s more than three decades old not only hilarious, but also relevant to the current...Read full review »
