Repetitive and unnecessary details
These podcast episodes are hours each and could be boiled down into one long hour episode. They repeat details multiple times and say things that are so obvious it’s a waste of time exclaiming. This is very much done like a news cast and less like podcasts such as dirty John or serial. One of the victims goes to the doctors the morning before they were held captive and this reporter goes and sees the doctors office in person and records her discussing with another person about it. This detail adds nothing to the story and only confirms the victim was having a normal day earlier in the morning. I had to laugh like why the hell did they go visit the doctors office when it literally adds nothing to the story. They also hint at how rich the family is over and over and over again and it’s just so repetitive. And then they touch on the history of the house WHICH IS SO USELESS AND A WASTE OF TIME I CANNOT BEGIN TO EXPLAIN. I can barely make it through this podcast without being so frustrated with the way this woman tells a story. It’s like clickbait where they tell you half of something then say they’ll explain later. The story is great and the only reason I’m continuing to listen to find out how it unravels but just soooooooo much detail that has nothing to do with the crime or the victims story.

Really well written and produced. The narrator and producer followed this case when it happened and sat through...Read full review »
