“I was an intern in DC the summer of 1998 and ran through that wooded area off Canal Road every evening, including the evening Christine was killed. That particular night, I’d had a weird feeling (around the gas station mentioned in the podcast) and turned around, cutting my route short. I still can’t explain it. I will never forget coming upon the yellow caution tape marking off the area the next day and then watching the news that night to learn what had happened. I felt like throwing up. And there hasn’t been a day since that I haven’t thought about Christine and all of the amazing things she’d done and would do, had she lived. Had it not been her. Thank you for this podcast and for your dogged search for answers over the years… it is so well done.”
