Although I am from Yorkshire, I was only very young at the time of the fire. I know snippets but not a huge amount, and this is a balanced and sensitive narrative. Listening to Martin Fletcher, absolutely heartbreaking and what an amazing man. The podcast also does well to explore the politics...Read full review »

The 4+ hours of material does not seem to cover much that couldn’t be gleaned from 10 minutes on Wikipedia.

A well presented and interesting insight into an awful tragedy.

Mobeen explores this tragedy & connects the dots. The series allowed me to understand the history of Bradford City, learn of the fire and tragedy & gain insight to the inquest failings. A great piece of journalism & I agree, there shout be a new enquiry into the cause of the fire.

Shame on everyone involved in producing this. had it been left interviewing the survivors and bereaved-the community would have been welcoming, had the title it not contained a reference to the estimated temperature of an inferno that killed 56 or shown flames-it may have been a nice memorial in...Read full review »

Well this tells me nothing new. As a Bradfordian there at the time of the fire we all knew thee stories but it was the 1980s in post industrial city in decline. Loads of smokers, loads of litter, fires regular. The series asks that so many fires is unlucky. Then you did not live in Bradford in...Read full review »

In-depth, balanced, distressing, heartbreaking story. Great podcast which also looks at the history, sport and politics of the time in which this horrific event happened.

You see, but you do not observe” AC Doyle There’s blissful wishful thinking, then thinking based on evidence - I don’t believe in the Easter bunny, nor that in blowing out birthday candles wishing something to be so, makes it so - If you do, temper tantrums aside, each to their own, it’s not for...Read full review »

“Well, that’s the thing about this world, some of the most unbelievable things turn out to be true and the things that feel the most real are nothing but stories that we tell ourselves…” - In “Generation Loss,” Westworld suggests that entire worlds can be built on such lies” - Indeed, but that...Read full review »

No expose as advertised just a rehash of old conspiracy theories. This ‘Journalist’ clearly has used the month before the anniversary to rake up bad memories & create bad feeling for those that suffered & still suffer from the aftermath of 11/5/85. The people of Bradford don’t want this...Read full review »

A disgusting podcast peddling discredited lies and conspiracy theories. An affront to the survivors, the victims, the city of Bradford and the family members of the deceased.

This is so tasteless.

Rehashed conspiracy theories from an 8 year old book. No new evidence. Libelling the dead who can’t fight back. The author is too scared to continue reporting drug gangs in his home town so he picks on a soft target. The title is particularly offensive. Do you think relatives want to be reminded...Read full review »
