Brilliantly wholehearted geekiness
Everything you didn’t know you needed to hear just to get through another day. One of the most soothing podcasts I know, and consistently good. Like listening to a friend. In the end this podcast, about cities and urban planning and architecture and design, is only ever about people and what connects us, whether it’s infrastructure or beekeeping or pools. Without ever spelling it out, this podcast is about the ways we somehow accommodate each other in complex systems. It’s very geeky, but in an utterly humane way. Have been listening for years and still one of my absolute favourites. (The Dead Kennedy snippet in recent Ubiquitous Icons episode made my day and even sold my 18 year old on the podcast.)

So many podcasts are unbearable right now but, by chance, I stumbled upon this one and it's terrific!! I never leave reviews but felt I had to on this gem. Fully engaging, witty, and unique. Worth every second, can't wait for more.Read full review »

Consistently good and interesting. Well produced. It reminds me a lot of The Memory Palace.
