Description
Fighting a lifetime battle with depression Frank King has thought about killing himself more times than you can imagine. Frank has led an extraordinary life. He wrote for The Tonight Show for over 20 years, and his journey with chronic suicidality not only makes for a fascinating listen, he has become a public motivational speaker and trainer who travels the world and has given key-note speeches at multiple TED talks events. He is also a full-time comedian and uses his humour and compassion to not only educate others about terms like ‘chronic suicidality’, ‘chronic suicidal ideation’ and ‘generational depression and suicide’ but also to help others who are suffering from the same condition, including those who didn’t realise that is what they had all along. In this podcast Frank talks about his story; what was the tipping point? Why is he still alive? He also explains how on so many occasions his talks have led to more and more people coming forward suffering from a similar problem. If you have been affected by or are suffering with suicidal thoughts, please seek medical help and advice immediately.
