The actual information in the podcast is very entertaining. I just listened to 20 minute episode. The actual podcast didn’t start until minute 4 and ended at minute 16. 40% of the podcast was ads and about donating.

I love this show, I’ve been playing catch up having discovered it about a month ago. Each episode is well made, informative, fresh and just the right length. I hope it continues to the end, please keep going Mike!

Well researched with a sense of humor and personality is exactly what I want from a history podcast. Plus the episodes are a good length. Not too long for my limited attention span!

I’m in Italy studying Italian and realised how little I know about Italy's complex history. ‘A History of Italy’ came up and I haven’t stopped listening since. Mike Corradi’s style is very entertaining. I have lots of chuckles as well as enjoying the informative digressions and recaps,...Read full review »

This is fantastic podcast for lovers of Italy and history in general. Well paced with a measured level of detail to not overwhelm the listener. I appreciate the effort in providing a careful chronological history with a good number of episodes covering early medieval period. I'm working my...Read full review »

Put up with the chaotic timelines and leftist revisionism for a while to enjoy the little humorous vignettes put on by Mike and his kids. As we got further and further into the modern era the more his Marxism became too much to listen too any more. 200 million dead not enough for you Mike? Oh...Read full review »

My fathers side is full Italian but sadly they don’t know much about their past. I found there are not many Italian history podcasts. I have really enjoyed this one. This show has been fun to listen to and he does his best to bring as much to the show as he can. Talking about a whole country is...Read full review »

This podcast is one of the funniest and still competent shows on history I know. I listened in about 2 months through the first 50 episodes and I can’t get enough. Mike Corradi starts out a bit formally, sounding more like a history lecture - nervous, perhaps, and why not? - but later hits his stride, injecting personality and humour, taking you on an entertaining trip through Italian history. Good stuff.

Very much enjoying this podcast... lots of slightly out of the way interesting bits.. but still holding it together so, for someone like me who knows nothing about Italian history so I can follow the progression of Italy becoming.. Italy. Well paced, fun and informative, what more could you want?

This podcast continues the story from Mike Duncan’s History of Rome in a fun and entertaining way. Some of the episodes seem to be cut short, but the skits by the A History of Italy Players are hilarious!

This is my favorite history podcast. It’s like Monty Python decided to explain Italy’s history. Hugely entertaining, love his skits found at the end of most episodes performed by Mike and his family. the only complaint is the episodes are only less than 1/2 an hour. I need more.

The show has a lot of good information, but it seems that the host writes essays, and then reads them. This is bad because he uses too many clauses. This makes since if you’re reading a paper.
