The rest of the story, and the big picture
I tell everyone I know who claims to love rock and roll, “but listen to all kinds of music” they must give this a listen. It has been such an enlightening podcast, from learning about the artists, the history, and the societal background of what was happening at the time and WHY the song (but usually so many more snippets in the explanations!) was important in the development of the music genre we love.

Each episode takes a deep dive into an important song from rock history. Some songs are familiar to me, but many are not so I’m learning a lot of interesting facts about the music and artists that helped shape rock-n-roll. The podcast is entertaining and incredibly thorough and well-researched.
