I’d always listen to a podcast if I saw Julia Samuels was on it, as she’s made statements of such profound wisdom that they’ve stopped me in my tracks. However the quests on this series were too elite for my channels of life. Felt like a blue collar Chav. I’ve abandoned the show. Give it a try...Read full review »

Sorry but this was painfully boring & laboured. 🥴

Julia Samuel is an incredible interviewer; insightful empathetic and wonderfully kind and her guests are equally impressive. These podcasts are an absolute must!

More, please! This is a must listen. And probably listen again. So incredibly wise and insightful.

I cannot tell you how much I am loving this podcast. It is superb. The idea of a living loss allows me to give voice to my own experiences of loss. I don’t want this series to end. Thank you Julia and all your amazing guests. Just listened to Edith Eger. Wow!!!!

Wish the episodes had a description rather than someone’s name I do not recognise. Would make it easier to browse.

The guests share so much on these episodes and Julia guides the conversation beautifully. It is also interesting that at the end Julia gives her view on the what the guest has discussed and what others can take from it. A joy!

I listened to Julia on How to Fail podcast ...and loved the conversation! This one is equally fantastic - I felt like I was actually sitting beside them whilst having the conversation! Such great chemistry and lots of perils of wisdom. Thank you!

A beautiful podcast, which holds so much wisdom & compassion. A new podcast, but already one of my absolute favourites & can’t wait to listen to more.

Julia is someone I have been listening to and reading since my dad died. Her books, interviews and podcast appearances are so so good. I love...Read full review »

This was so enlightening on so many levels and Elizabeth‘s experience and telling of her losses was so brave. She’s wonderfully articulate and I feel more informed about baby loss now and how I might be more sensitive around this subject.

Listening to this literally stopped me in my tracks. Julia Samuel’s immediate warmth and guidance through the discussion of living losses made for one of the most resonating, vulnerable and honest conversations with Elizabeth Day. A fantastic combination. I can’t wait for the others. Thank you!

Listened to the interview with Adwoa Aboah. Aboah was incredible and authentic & offered so much. Samuel couldn’t even get her name right & was so patronizing it was painful to listen to.

Hard to put into words but I got so much out of this articulate and thought provoking chat. It was informal and warm yet covered difficult topics that we all experience on some level. It feels so inclusive to the listener. Highly recommend

Intelligent, thoughtful and very relatable no matter what your circumstances. It is impossible not to respect Elizabeth for her honesty.

Oh my gosh this was such a wonderful and empowering listen. Thank you so much for allowing us to share such a deep and intimate conversation and for giving us the chance to take things from it we never realised we needed to hear.
