“The "Stages of Black Climate Grief" episode was an excellent example of putting front and center powerfu and important voices and perspectives towards our understanding of Climate Solutions and Climate Justice. The language and perpsectives of Climate Justice are just beginning to enter our lexicon, and having the voices of those most familiar with the role of race in Climate Injustice introduce these concepts is essential. The story of how one young Black woman moved the City of San Diego towards change is inspiring. Allowing her to produce her own story was another form of empowerment, and a subtle teaching tool. Her conversation with another Black woman"change agent" about her experience in the "environmental advocacy" space should be essential listening to all people involved in such advocacy. I will be able to use this podcast as a teaching resource in a course on sustainability and citizenship that this semester will focus much more attention on racial and class equality and social justice. Thank you!”Read full review »
