Messily edited, hard to follow
Hopping on the real crime bandwagon by digging into the archives, each episode is a 20 minute wash of hard to understand sound. Detectives mumble and debate, 911 tapes are scratchy, and who can hear over those typewriters? The language surrounding the suspect "a life hangs in the balance" "a crime he didn't commit" "if he didn't do it his life is ruined" brings to mind the trial of Brock Turner. Would this podcast or indeed the investigation have the same tenor if the suspect was of a person of color?Read full review »

this is easily my most anticipated podcast of 2017, if not this decade. i can’t wait to experience this story with all the twists and turns. this is bound to be a big time conversation starter. might stay up to listen on 10/3.

I have been waiting for a podcast to catch my attention the way that the first season of Serial...the first episode of this podcast makes me think that this one might finally be it!
