I love this podcast. Each episode is a piece of art on its own. Everytime I choose a favourite one I keep being suprised by the lyrical beauty of the following. It’s also a sort of Literary Manifesto 2.0 because there are so many poetic enunciations and aphorismatic verses in each audio. It gives...Read full review »

This is now my favourite podcast. I only listen at night and it helps me drop off to sleep. She has such a nice soothing voice. The subjects are interesting. I like her talking with her young neighbour, Maeve Magnus, and no.19 is a particular favourite. Please continue making them.

Such a beautiful podcast. Love hearing all of Sally’s thoughts, cleverly woven around interesting themes. It’s a lovely listening experience too: Sally has a beautiful, incredibly soothing voice and shares a lot of ASMR-friendly sounds from her narrowboat life. More please!

Sally’s voice is perfect for a podcast and she has so much to say about a life well lived. Her words, ideas and images linger long after each perfectly produced episode, which are just the right length. An utter treat for the brain and soul.

Sally merges life and writing into a co-existence within the self. She documents daily activities on her boat, combining them with her literary speculations. These are beautiful meditations that make you pause and let you breathe.

These short podcasts deal with big topics in a gentle, inspiring way. It’s a privilege to spend a little time with Sally on her narrow boat as she tells us about her reading, writing and the challenges she’s facing. Beautiful and thought provoking.

Full of wonderful insights and observations—I love the idea that if we all “played Hamlet”, we’d never get the washing done!
