The Truth
I’ve listened to the BBC World Service since the 1970s. My failed boyhood dream of being a radio presenter/journalist inspired my enthusiasm. My English Teacher enrolled me in a BBC weekend visit in London and I viewed Peter Snow presenting the Nine O’clock News from the Gallery and I attended lectures from various journalists at the theatre. My admiration for their professionalism is deep! Lyse Doucet is one of those people who gets to what I believe is the real story. Each of these episodes tells the account of real people dealing with a crisis and on many occasions; bravery. It’s a great listen.

Happen to hear the episode with Hamid Karzai on the radio and found the podcast. Very well narrated by Lyse Doucet, someone who knows a lot about the region. Gives insights that people may not be aware of or would have forgotten.
