Really feel like this narrator is very biased and has no idea what it’s like to be addicted to anything.

Hosts treats it like it’s a joke. Subjects are very interesting and eloquent.

Fascinating listening marred only by interviewer’s rather condescending manner. Otherwise moving and thought-provoking.

The subject matter is pretty sensitive and these podcasts have handled it well. Very interesting and eye-opening. However, the interviewer comes across as judgmental, giggly, and oftentimes dismissive. Very much a case of ‘I’ve never experienced it so it’s funny and odd’, instead of ‘I’ve never...Read full review »

Only the BBC could interview a female sexy addict and have a female interviewer who sounded childishly naive, inexperienced and prudish about sexual practices and yet could still try and find ways to denigrate men throughout the episode, despite it focusing on a women’s addiction journey

Addiction is when you’ll do anything or give anything to get your high. The longer you’re an addiction the more and more you have to give. This fits the stories that we are hearing in this program. They all kept doing more or giving more for their sex. It sounds to me like sex is an addiction.

Very interesting, honest and open podcast. marred only by the interviewer having flown in from a Victorian Bishop's Purity Party.Read full review »

Interesting but the show host needs to be more professional. She sounds titillated and a bit giddy. She should listen to Death, Sex and Money. The host is very professional and neutral.

Probably one of the most interesting podcasts I’ve ever listened to and the content has been fascinating however I found the interviewer to be incredibly rude, judgemental and really unprofessional towards the guests.

Glad this notoriously difficult topic is getting some serious attention. Great effort to get people to be so open about their experiences - but the discussion of the production process itself gets a bit indulgent.

I applaud the interviewees to come forward and share their stories candidly. However, the journalist comes across as biased and judgmental in a situation that calls for pragmatism.

Pared back and so powerful. Impossible not to dwell on what you’ve heard. Totally recommend

Usually when the BBC says it’s going to do something bold and different, it invariably turns out to be boring and beige. I’ve been proven wrong with this podcast. More of this please.

Powerful interviews on an important topic, never heard anything like this before.

I feel this issue is often dismissed as just bad habits or wrong choices. Since this is still a tabu subject it's too easy to discriminate vs substance abuse which is considered "real addiction". But now society recognizes gambling addiction is real even though there is no substance...Read full review »

This is timely introduction to growing problem across the world. Hopefully more attention will be given to individuals that suffer from such addictions. The impact on life, work, relationships and the young is of deep concern when left unchecked. Thank you Sangita!

High time this was discussed in mainstream media. Outstanding journalism from @BBCSangita and the team

Sangita has taken on a difficult subject, still shrouded in secrecy. She has conducted it with sensitivity and humor, asking the hard questions without judgement. A great listen!

I am separated from my husband of twenty five years. He crossed the line, then admitted why he did what he did. Now he’s in therapy. Although I live in the USA, sex addiction is not treated as other addictions. His insurance does not cover. He doesn’t have the funds to seek the treatment needed....Read full review »
