Incredibly Fun and Informative!
I've always wanted to play Dungeons & Dragons, but never had the people around me to make it happen. With the current surge of 80s nostalgia, D&D is creeping up from the dank underworld of wood-paneled basements and into the mainstream imaginations of a whole new generation, and my dream of finally participating in a quest inches closer. Here is one such podcast that allows me to learn the game without the pressures of sniggers of seasoned dungeon masters and players alike. Listening to some of my favorite podcast folk jump into this intense and complex world with their special brand of wit and humor has shown me that it's possible to enjoy this "nerd's game" on the most basic level possible. I don't need to assemble the scant members of my local comic shop to summon the magic of the collaborative experience D&D creates. I can make it my own with friends who make the experience together. The production level of this podcast with soundscapes and SFX only further my enjoyment listening, and it's paced perfectly with cliffhangers that leave me laughing out loud and wanting more. Bobby, Mara, Jacqui, Bob, Brian, continue to forge this new path, as wayward and fraught with hi-jinks as it may be. You'll always have a listener on the other side cheering, laughing, screaming, and even shedding a tear as you blaze forth into the fray, unto dawn, quest to quest, into ADVENTURE!!!Read full review »
