Thank you for telling the part of the story that no one ever tells. In order to solve, or lessen gun violence we need to examine all aspects. This is the #1 biggest reason we need better gun control. These devastating, life altering stories should pull on the heartstrings. I have always been an...Read full review »

Yet another amazing podcast but I knew it would be as soon as I heard Amber Hunt’s voice. She is also amazing. These survivors are so strong and inspiring. Thanks to all for sharing your stories with us. Sending love ❤️ Christie

This was one of my favorite podcasts. I loved hearing the perspective of survivors and honoring the fallen through making their story known. Amber, great job with this!!

Just heard about this podcast due to your interview on Impact Statement. I am a big fan of your podcast Vanished. Your material, investigating style and yes, your voice. I’m a podcast addict. Looking forward to binging this podcast. Keep up the good work!!!!

Interesting perspective on gun violence. I honestly would listen to Amber Hunt narrate the Declaration of Independence. She is the Gold Standard of podcast narrators. Very well done all around.

Listening to AFTERMATH is The True Definition of “Soul Searching” and “Healing” at the Same Time! I could go on and on about how wonderful this podcast is! All I can say is this. Listen to 5 minutes of this podcast. If it doesn’t speak to you in ways you never thought how to explain. Then...Read full review »

Great reporting, all in transparency with just enough of sensitivity.

This was one of the best podcasts I’ve ever listened to. Highly recommend. The subject might be sad but I think the least we can do is listen to these stories.

Captivating. Waiting for them to come back!!!

This is such a good podcast. Dealing with the so often ignored stories well beyond the breaking news reports of shootings. Hardly any of this has ever been covered by mainstream media. Well produced and well told.

The reporting is great, but it’s meant for writing not podcast. The content is fantastic, I love it. BUT the narrators voice is so distracting. It sounds like there’s a huge ball of phlegm in her throat...all the time. It’s like nails on a chalk board

I heard of this podcast while listening to Accused, and it’s fantastic. I had a hard time getting used to Amanda’s voice, but now after listening to this and Accused, I am a huge fan of her. She is a great writer and allows the survivors to tell their stories in a way that is personable and...Read full review »

The first two of this podcast were enjoyable, number 3 was a nightmare as I could barely understand a word Michael Green uttered.....I just can't be doing with all the gangsta' stuff. I packed it in when it was more of the same-I've no interest in gangs of kids shooting each other up.Read full review »

I subscribed to this podcast series when it first came out (months ago, I believe) However, because it wasn’t time sensitive (current news/holiday related), I let it sit in my podcast library until yesterday. My normal morning radio show is on vacation, so I thought I’d go ahead and listen to an...Read full review »

I would love to hear more stories, the interviews are thoughtful yet revealing and I only wish that the US Government would hear them. Living in the UK we are lucky that gun crime is illegal and I can’t imagine how ordinary it seems to carry a gun in the US. You need a license to drive a car yet...Read full review »

Moving, shocking, wrenching and even sometimes quietly uplifting. Each episode is an interview with someone who has survived being shot. The stories cover the gamut of situations – social, cultural, and racial. We’ve become horribly used to hearing about another shooting in X, with Y people...Read full review »

Wonderful personal stories of horrific shooting incidents. Powerful and addictive. I started listening to a sample of episode 1 and I couldn’t stop listening and had to subscribe. Each story is unique and touching.

I’m a teacher that has now worked in two cities where gun violence is high. This podcast is incredible. The trials of trauma are real, and more people suffer than we are aware. Thank you for this.

As a 2A advocate and supporter, I found this to be an awesome and eye opening pod. Firearms are powerful tools and we should never take that lightly. The stories you share are sobering reminders of this.

To Michael Green and family: You are a shining example of quiet strength and the power of faith and family. God bless you all. I am so sorry for the trauma you experienced. I love what Grandpa has to say about raising kids. Amen!

I never knew how important it was to hear a story that relates to mine until episode one. Though I wasn’t shot, the rest rang so close to home and moved me and made me feel like I’m not so alone. This podcast is fantastic, as is everything I’ve heard Amber do.

Hearing from survivors is important, and this is well produced and listenable. Takes courage and energy for victims to open up and everyone should listen and respect their stories.

I have never been shot, but I’ve been held at gun point. These stories are very cathartic.
lilfrosty via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 05/24/18
I really loved Accused but this is beautiful and horrifying. Madeleine Barren is a great story teller and these are stories that desperately need to be told. Maybe someday the world will change and gun violence will be a thing of the past.
lovelyhedonist via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 05/23/18
I truly look forward to hearing more episodes. It was such a nice Change to hear the human factor. What violence really does to someone rather than sensationalizing what was the Trumatic event. These are the real stories that need to be told. So thank you.

Great podcast. So informative. My cousin was at the Las Vegas shooting she made it out alive and not hurt but the effects on her mind are forever. I have shared this with her.
