I have always loved books/movies/stories that have to do with mental illness. Especially due to my family and myself havingmultiple different mental illnesses. I really think this deserves a better review more like 4.8-5 stars! The only thing I could see maybe people not liking is the auto on...Read full review »

It was ok. The story didn't end with the bang I was hoping for. Story sounded very scripted.Read full review »

The beginning it’s a little slow but by the end I was really glad I listen to this.

If you need to hear kids getting tortured to death while they’re inpatients of a mental hospital, this show is for you. If you don’t need to hear that, skip it.

I couldn't get through more than 5 episodes. As someone who has been treated for mental health issues for years (and now for several years doing pretty darn well) almost all these characters have a massive victim complex, which would have been extremely bad for me had i listened to it before...Read full review »

Excellent! Very sympathetically done re all the mental trauma stuff. Also truly scary in places. I liked the young actors, I thought they did a great job. More stuff like this please. Job well done.

Spooky, touching, funny, gripping and overall a good insight into some mental illnesses. Nicely done with some serious scares in there too!

Fantastic little gem! So glad I stumbled upon this show, was gripped within minutes of listening. Highly recommended! :)

I really enjoyed this podcast but the sound quality was all over the place. It was really loud at some points and very quiet for the rest. I could not hear a huge chunk of it at max volume in my car.

I honestly thought that the storyline and narrorations were great. The sound quality varied and at times it was hard to understand what was being said. They do touch on issues in a well mannered way. **Only other issue I did have besides the sound quality was the fact that you mention...Read full review »

Sorry but too much for me. I have ADD (truly) and find the continual interruptions in dialogue very unsettling. Good luck tho.

Binged the whole podcast in one day. This was great. Thank you for caring about mental illness and creating a captivating story to bring awareness to real issues.

This podcast is one of the best psychiatry podcasts I’ve come across. The voice acting, specifically from the person who plays Ryan, is great. The storyline was engaging, and I love the rep. The only thing was that it was incredibly quiet. I had my headphones turned up all the way and even then...Read full review »

I love this podcast, but the sound really varies and it’s difficult to listen on to with anything other than headphones

Wish you guys would comeback with a spin-off

This is almost an excellent podcast. It’s got a great storyline but it’s not immersive at all due to a few minor things that could easily be adjusted. For instance, if Ryan would sound a little less like he’s speed reading a script that would be very helpful. It would also help if you were voice...Read full review »

Oof
I loved the producer’s other show, Lake Clarity, despite all their bad sound mixing at times (gunshots being extremely loud compared to the rest of the podcast being quiet for example) so I decided to give this one a try. First episode put me a bit on edge with how it dealt with Tourette’s (Ryan...Read full review »

Listen to this one makes me yell at the main characters, and all the twists and turns are enjoyable.

There are major problems with volume levels on the “Muddled Waters” episode. The beer commercial in the beginning had a normal volume level, but the show was way quieter. I had to turn the volume twice as loud as normal just to hear, but then at one point Ryan yells and it nearly blew my ears and...Read full review »

Great story, great subject. The material could be butchered in the wrong hands, as it’s sensitive stuff (mental illness, suicide, self harm) but it is handled with precision and poise and I WANT MORE!

This is such a brilliant story that words can hardly explain how good it is. It deals with the patients in a disturbing mental health hospital ward for troubled teenagers. The acting in this is sublime and it feels so real. There is an underlying horror story that grows and is absolutely...Read full review »

I love the clearly thoughtful writing behind this story. There are too many characters who have mental illnesses in horror and thrillers who are poorly written as either paper victims or distorted villains. This is clearly a story about showing how people with various mental illness can be...Read full review »

The story is very interesting. They need to get some professional sound engineers to help them out though. I have to turn up my volume almost all the way to even hear it. You can also hear the microphone everytime someone starts talking. This podcast definitely has promise, and I will continue...Read full review »

Aftershocks is a mystery podcast set in a mental institution, but treats mental health issues with dignity and respect. I love the main characters and can't wait to see what adventures they get up to while investigating this mystery.Read full review »

I love the premise of this show and the characters are genuinely interesting after only a couple of episodes. The ONLY reason I didn't give it a 5 star review (though, I really wanted to), is because the sound quality lacks a bit. The overall volume of the show is much lower to other...Read full review »

Deals with Mental health issues with Bright Sessions levels of finesse and gets into the creep factor I wish the Black Tapes still held for me. One episode in and I'm hooked on this exploration or reality and perception that I know is headed good places.Read full review »

I've already listened to the first episode twice. I came back to it for the second time last night before falling asleep, the theme song was stuck in my head and I wanted more time with the characters. I thoroughly enjoyed the ups and downs, the suspense, the mystery of the first listen but...Read full review »
