The point of this podcast is lost…
I’ve never felt the urge to comment about the style of speech (if I can put it that way) of a podcast host, and I listen to a lot of them, but there is something about this one… the host is a podcast producer and this is his first time hosting a podcast. As the producer of something that is in a purely audio platform, you would think he would pay particular attention to making his speech pleasant to listen to. I’m not a speech pathologist or anything so I don’t know how to properly describe it. It is a weird over emphasis maybe that makes it seem like there might be a question, but then there isn’t? I feel terrible saying this, but it makes him sound immature and unintelligent. It’s hard to listen to because it just. keeps. happening. On the plus side, this podcast has more ads than I’ve ever heard in a podcast, so you only have to listen to the host speak for maybe 1/3 of the show.

I love true crime stories. This isn’t just about the murders themselves, but how law enforcement does or doesn’t utilize suggestions for solving crimes outside of their own organizations.

Meh
Can clearly tell the host is reading word for word from a script. Distracts from the story and almost lulls you to sleep. Interviews and content very interesting though.

I am enjoying this series exploring the statistical nature of serial killings. The podcast offers a narrative of natural and persistent curiosity which highlights the diverse yet connected worlds of national policy, journalism, national statistics, criminal behavior and law enforcement.
