Couldn’t wait to listen to this podcast after reading about it, couldn’t wait to finish after hearing the guy speak. My man why why why speak like this??

This podcast is really well done and is quite an interesting story. However, the way the host drags every other word drives me a bit crazy and I end on focusing on that rather than the story sometimes. For example, Hargrooooove, Killeeeeeer, Caaaaaaaases, etc. A guy at work talks in a similar...Read full review »

Change the tone. Good story but hate the upspeak.

I made it through three episodes and then got lost and bored with the plodding history of Gary, Indiana. The case was intriguing but it was treading water for most of the third episode. And of course the ROBOTIC and unchanging delivery and cadence of the narrator is grating.

I have found the podcast interesting. I think the hosts voice is fine I hope that the message that if we take a sexual predator more seriously from the first time caught — how many lives could be saved — is a message that is heard.

Dragging out the last syllable of every sentence is an affectation that just can’t be listened tooooooo. A shame, I was looking forward to this podcast but I just can’t concetraaaaaattte.

I’m intrigued! Your much better at podcasting than I am. I heard an ad on 95.5 fm Atlanta for your show and I really appreciate you and your efforts.

I’ve consumed several true crime podcasts lately, and this is by far one of the best.

Excellent! Love the straight delivery of the host and the technical and problem solving focus

The topic is very interesting, but the host really needs to get some energy. The host’s monotone detracts from the podcast.

I’m super interested in the content, but getting past the host’s inflection and speech is really tough. Agree with several other reviews with this one. When he’s interviewing others, it is great because it’s candid but when the narration comes about, it’s difficult.

I totally disagree with the previous review- this is a brilliant podcast. It’s well written and easy to follow. Fantastic music from Make Up and Vanity Set as always. Ben narratives with compassion and sensitivity. This podcast is definitely worth your time.

I always listen to podcasts on 1.25x so ppl complaining about the hosts dragging sentences—I recommend trying speeding up a bit. I think others are being a little harsh. This is this mans first podcast: give him a break! I liked this podcast/content! . . There are indeed way too many ads. I tried...Read full review »

I’ve never written a review, but I really have to. This is such a great story, and I kept putting up with the commentator’s voice and tone only to know what happens. I then realized that I listen to podcasts to enjoy my time, not suffer. Commentator, punctuation is not decoration.

Interesting story. I just couldn’t finish because of the narrator.. was every sentence a question??

The Youtuber voice is so annoying that I cannot listen. Voice dragging is NOT an asset.

I’ve never felt the urge to comment about the style of speech (if I can put it that way) of a podcast host, and I listen to a lot of them, but there is something about this one… the host is a podcast producer and this is his first time hosting a podcast. As the producer of something that is in a...Read full review »

I had to speed it up to be able to listen to him. Every letter is emphasized. Too hard to focus.

Man this guys speech pattern is annoying. It takes away from the story when all you can think is “how does someone get this annoying of a voice?”

He drags out every last worrrd. Would definitely consider help with that if I were him.

Great podcast and really interesting content. However there are WAY too many adds. Like 3 in a row and about 4 times per episode. It makes it very difficult to get into.

I enjoyed listening to this story. The worst paarrrrttt Is how the hooosssttttt Reads his sscriiiipt. He really draaaags Out the last wooorrrd. I’ve listened to what seems to be every true crime podcast and of course they were getting repetitive… this one switches it up! Big fan. Very interesting. And PS I actually like his voice haha not cookie cutter

Great story and interviews. I enjoyed so much of it. The narrator has chosen a very odd reading voice and seems to elongate the last word of every sentence. It’s very odd and quite annoying. When he’s interviewing someone, his voice is quite pleasant and does not elongate the last word of every...Read full review »

I’m so surprised at all of the negative comments about the narrator. I’ve quit other podcasts for that reason but I find this narrator easy to listen to. The story focuses on one serial killer with the algorithm as the lead in. I’d never heard of him & I’m a true crime buff. Highly...Read full review »

I am so incredibly interested in this story and would love to listen more. I JUST CAN’T! This producer turned narrator needs to pass the baton to someone else to tell this story. The way he pronounces words is the most irritating sound and makes this podcast unlistenable. It’s like he took the...Read full review »

5 minutes of show, twenty minutes of commercial. But this seems to be the norm for I heart podcast shows… perhaps the host should consider switching to a less commercial heavy platform. Also, his intonation is strange. There is a monotone side, but an even weirder stress put on syllables that...Read full review »

I really don’t feel like the algorithm was talked about much more than a few episodes. Kinda just seemed like things run in circles and we just kept hearing about how bad the killer was and his home life. I wish it was more about the actual algorithm and finding more patterns. The narrator makes is unlistenable. He says “he’s the producer and normally does things behind the scenes”- he should stay behind the scenes. His voice and his annunciation of words sounds so incredibly irritating. It’s hard describe- couldn’t get past 5min.

Boring, boring, boring. It cannot be overstated enough how utterly boring this podcast was. Other than the Death March episode, the entire thing is going in circles.
