“I waited until the first episode to review it and I am so glad I did. I am already a fan of Welcome to Night Vale, so I may be a little biased. However, Alice Isn't Dead promises to be a grittier and somewhat more sequential narrative. While I like Welcome to Night Vale, I had always hoped it would even out into a more focused storyline rather than a spook of the week. I thought it would be more like the TV show Twin Peaks. While they have tried to take it that direction, their success has been limited in my opinion. It seems like we are going to be hearing a more mysterious, less humor-based story. I really hope that I am right, that this project will be getting more direction. I already know Fink and the other writers will be doing their best to make this an experience very separate from Night Vale. I am excited to see what comes out of this project.”Read full review »
