“I’ve been faithful weekly listener since the beginning of the podcast version of the show. I’ve always known my politics were more progressive than Alison/Daniel’s but I thought of them as kind, well-intentioned people. However, the heartlessness and lack of nuance they are bringing to their discussion of the conflict between Israel and Palestine and their lack of empathy for the suffering of ordinary Palestinians has caused me to reconsider my image of them. Unfortunately, the appeal of the show for me is really built on my ability to relate to host(s) as fellow humans, fallible but also trying to be better. I imagine they are very scared. I can understand that. Sometimes, the measure of a person is how they react when they are afraid. I’m so sad to lose this show.”
