The topics seem so interesting but getting through an episode is torture because the hosts (especially the woman) seem so out of touch with the content. It’s not a professional telling of the story. They are constantly skipping around, making jokes and interjections that have nothing to do with...Read full review »

When I read the topics, i was excited. But, then the LONG intros gave way to bad story telling . I Was still giving to this a chance. But there is no hope.

Everything is funny to the female cohost. This is supposed to be a disaster podcast, where people lost their lives. But she still finds reason to laugh during almost every sentence. The host’s leftist rhetoric is another thing they can leave out. Then again I now see the connection between the...Read full review »

The female host flubs his name several times and states that Jean-Michel “wasn’t obscure but wasn’t one of the big ones.” Correction, Basquiat IS one of “the big ones”, and was celebrated for his unique style in the art world, here and abroad. Decades after his untimely death, a Basquiat...Read full review »

Absolutely love them! I look forward to their next episodes. I love that they show their humanity in their discussions and banter but also how they vocalize their sadness and share their respect for victims of these disasters. Great job!

I love this show. Topics they cover are fascinating, fascinating, and I look forward each week to a new episode. I enjoy the banter and off-topic discussion, and because I am aligned politically, have absolutely no problem with David and Rachel’s political stances. I particularly enjoy stories...Read full review »

I just discovered disaster pods and love love this one. They cover interesting disasters and I appreciate their real world takes on the political ideologies and failures that lead to many of the disasters. I also love their banter and especially love the explanations of things the typical person...Read full review »

Wow
Keep politics out of it- unfollowed! And get a better sound system if you’re gonna be so judgmental about everybody else

I like the topics they pick, but I can’t do 20 minute intros. I’m sure this podcast would be amazing if they trimmed the fat and kept on topic.

Like so many other podcasts, this one is a D minus at best. The annoying, fake giggling and nonsensical rambling makes for an awful podcast. The leftist hosts frequently propagandize their kindergartner ideology. Absolutely trash

I unsubscribed mostly because I could not tolerate her screechy loud voice. The poor sound quality of her audio is lousy (echoey) is also a contributor (male host's audio is excellent). She frequently cuts off the male host while he is talking. Plus way too much off topic chit chat which...Read full review »

The interesting subject matter and presentation is really hurt by the mostly inane banter of the two host. Apparently this is what passes for comedy. The guy contributes little or nothing to the story, but just detract with his attempted yucks. Not sure if it’s worth the trouble to listen. But...Read full review »

Podcasts i still listen to after a try out period of 5 episodes get 5 ⭐️. Because why should i listen to pods i don’t think are awsome? Pods i don’t keep listening to get no rewiews by me . Tried one episode, but this is not for me. The amount of giggling and cackling ruins the story.

I live the initial banter but goes on too long and you go off topic a lot! I listen because I’m fascinated by disasters.

Meh
Annoying and political in random places. I’m so tired of true crime and disaster channels that have to insert their tired opinions everywhere. Should be a non biased podcast with facts not opinions. Save yourself the time and don’t listen. I didn’t come here for politics.

If they’d just stick to the story, it would be alright. But the constant interjections from Rachel about every little thing was annoying and made it hard to follow the actual story. I fast forward so much through that. a 2hr episode could have been done in 45 minutes without all the tangents....Read full review »

“We’ll get to that” my goodness I’ve never listened to a podcast more where the host interrupt each other so much and have to constantly keep repeating “we’ll get to that”

Ngl, I actually love when people are smart, anti-capitalist, pro-socialist, and overall generally sensitive to cultural issues. The hosts politics actually added a star for me. The sad boys in the comments section whining about the woman’s voice are wildly misogynistic and unhelpful. What I don’t...Read full review »

All Bad Thins is a very well-produced podcast. I’m super fussy about sound and theirs has sounded pretty professional from the get-go. I’ve been listening since late 2018/early 2019. I share this podcast with my husband, it’s almost a ritual to listen while we cook dinner together. Used to be five stars but now in the later episodes it has dropped two stars and that’s been generous. Love love love this podcast! They give stories of tragic things in a respectful and truthful way, while still adding their own personalities. Love their banter and calling out bad reviews. If it’s not your jam just don’t listen, they tell you what they are about!

The topics are awesome, the podcast just doesn’t flow smoothly and it’s easy as an audience member to lose focus. I believe this is because David isn’t really a host, he is basically a listener with a microphone. He doesn’t seem to prepare, and just has simple questions and quips. If David...Read full review »

I love this pod, disasters presented by progressives is exactly my cup of tea. The banter makes you feel so comfortable, like you are hanging out with old friends. David and Rachel are "that" couple. THE worst podcast ever. The banter between them is meaningless. Her voice is like fingers on a chalkboard. And he’s just mindless.
marian862 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 08/15/21
These two co-hosts just don’t flow well together. They don’t play off each other and what they’re saying, and it always feels like one of them is trying to dominate the conversation. The content is fun, at least.

There’s far too much jibbering in these podcasts. On average it takes 20 minutes to get to the point.

To be honest, I’ve become a podcast junky. Therapists might have a whole new demographic for rehabilitation in this area. But I digress. Which seems a stellar segue to my next observation. I really enjoy this podcast. I think Rachel and David do a great job of the banter, going through the disasters, and I really enjoy the “What doth you be drinking” corner. Good entry in the “one person tells another person a historical story” genre. Bonus for having a leftist bent! Misophonia warning though: Rachel drinks/sips/swallows her beer like, directly into the microphone ☹️
