The Best Writing Podcast I’ve Heard
Like a lot of other writers, I consume a lot of resources on the subject of writing, and I must say that Holly and Becca’s podcast is the best. They are thorough, practical, and each episode is like a mini workshop on the subject of writing, and writing well. I must say I’ve been a consumer of everything Holly has to offer since I was in high school back in 2006, and I’m a big fan of her books. Her writing style is engaging, fast-paced, and full of gorgeous world building, with every detail essential to the story. If she mentions a missing kitchen knife you’d better pay attention because someone nefarious could very well use it in the next scene or two! She has the marvelous ability to use her experience to show others how to hone their skills, and I love how she cohosts the podcast with her daughter, who is relatively new to the space. I’ve never read any of Becca’s work before, but I love the interaction between the two, because even the occasional tangents are packed full of information. My only minor nitpick is the swearing. I have young ears in the house, so I have to be careful when I listen to the podcast. Thank you Both so much for providing this podcast! :)
