Great minus the 1976 & ‘80 Episodes
Love this series! Such great story telling. Sometimes a little cought up on the suspense but overall excellent. The disappointing part that keeps me from a 5 star is is 1976 and 1980 episodes. The sheer disregard for Jimmy Carter is glaring. Until the last 10 minutes of the ‘76 episode we hear Donald Rumsfeld’s name mentioned as many times as Carter’s! In the ‘80 episode we hear more from the sound guy at a debate than we do the sitting president. No one in the series who is elected president is given such a harsh treatment and causal disregard. Carter has an incredible story that could have been told but the episodes just brush him off as having failed policies. So much more could have been done with those two episodes and it’s really a missed opportunity for the listener.

Lindsey Graham is a great storyteller! He tells the stories of each election with such exciting detail. It makes it hard for me to wait until the next episode comes out each week. The back story of each presidential candidate and their rivals is what really intrigues me. Subscribe to this...Read full review »

Our political history demonstrates that today isn’t at all different from our past. It’s reassuring to know that we as a nation have survived divisiveness and turmoil throughout the years and are still here. This podcast is especially relevant to today’s political arena.
