Too much content about The Bachelor
I wish the hosts would cut out the long intros about unrelated topics. I choose not to watch The Bachelor, so why would I want to spend 20 minutes listening to an intro about it on an American Girl podcast? I was really looking forward to a critique of the historical accuracy of these books but after 3 episodes I’m walking away. The hosts also clearly don’t respect the books; they spend the Josefina series making up a glib murder plot line. There are moments where they even make fun of Latinx culture because they haven’t previously been exposed to certain traditions. The premise of this podcast is great and has lots of potential but the execution is not for me.

Allison and Mary have the best host chemistry I’ve heard among all the other podcasts I listen to. Their wit, humor, and love for Ashanti make me laugh every time I listen. I also want to go back and read all the American Girl series. Can’t wait to hear more!

This podcast is exactly what middle-millennial girls (women?) need. When listening, I forget that Mary and Allison, two other Mollys, aren’t sitting in the same room with me. Laugh out loud funny and relatable, with plenty of surprise twists in interpretation. 10/10, highly recommend.
