“History buff here that has been listening to History Hit w/ Dan Snow for a long time, & love it. Was excited to find this new show and started w/ the Fist Ladies episode - what a disappointment. At a time when everything is so politicized (sports, award shoes, etc…) this show kept it going. I learned nothing new about the role of FLOTUS or about the amazing women who have held this esteem position. Barbara Bush got one line - first grandmother of the US - and that’s it. This woman was a First Lady & mother of a president. First First Lady to hold an HIV positive baby, focused on literacy and kept a family going through loss of a child, moves around the world and both a win & loss of the presidency. The author does nothing to hide her political biases (one i most likely agree with) and the fact this is on a history podcast is very disappointing. I’m going to try the Whiskey Rebellion episode now, maybe it’s far enough removed that they can’t make it partisan.”
