Riveting!
It is easy to get sucked into the world of American Hostage. I found myself binging it, wanting to discover more about the characters and the outcome. I could envision everything while listening. Clearly the things that happened back then with corporate greed driving otherwise good people to the edge are very relatable today. While of course everyone will talk about Jon Hamm, I also found Carla Gugino to be really engaging in this role, and man, you want to hate / fear the hostage taker, but you also want to root for him.

The episodes are short but it’s engaging. Actors did a great job. Immersive podcasts are the best. However, the ending is abrupt and anticlimactic. The ending ruined the whole thing. It was a lot of build up to not much at all.

This was really more of an old radio serial broadcast, something from a 1930s variety hour. It’s not bad, but if you’re looking for a factual podcast on this incident, this isn’t it. It’s a play on the radio, complete with closing door and footstep sound effects, and melodramatic reading.

Great content; terrible voice over acting, worse ads, greedy model. Make you listen to ads, then block content behind a paywall. His isn’t cable TV. Get with the program like every other podcast on here. And pay some better voice over actors
