I’ve been binging all episodes for a few weeks and have enjoyed learning about each of the presidents. I don’t love the intros and don’t always agree with their rankings, but the content is interesting and fun. Their political preferences are evident so if that’s something that bothers you, this...Read full review »

Absolutely hilarious and a great way to learn America history.

I like these guys and they are hilarious. The episodes post-WWII are more spotty for me since we have political differences (like calling NAFTA “good for America” without discussion in Clinton II) but I need to lighten up—this is not a podcast for serious education, it’s a romp through history...Read full review »

I absolutely love this show!!! Rob and Jamie do not hide their bias of being anti-Trump, but their commentary and ranking is still pretty darn fair and so funny. I have studied US Presidential history for over 20 years now, and I still learn something new from every episode. I love hearing these...Read full review »

Everyone should be a student of all history. Nothing that is happening today, just happened; there is a direct line from history. As an Oklahoman, I think the bombing and Waco should have been mentioned, as well as Rwanda. Keep up the amazing work.

So are you gonna do 3 episodes of Clinton? Seems like you’ve only done 3 episodes on (Republican) Presidents. Nixon, Reagan Bush….. Lots of things you could point out about Slick Willy…. You didn’t do 3 episodes on Gerald Ford so I’ll give you that. Love the podcast though

I like your romans series Hamilton should have said to Jefferson at the dinner party when talking about the greatest people and The British government: “Are the not all English?”

Hi again - I wrote a review that was read out in Coolidge part 1. I was 17 at the time and did end up going as Calhoun for Halloween lol. I am 21 now and still listening to your podcast pretty much every day. I have started and restarted many times but have now nearly caught up with you -...Read full review »

I’ve told so many people about this podcast. I’ve really enjoyed learning about the leaders of my own country. Almost as much as I’ve enjoyed quietly, and only to myself, correcting Rob’s pronunciation of some towns and people! These 2 seem to be genuinely good people, who don’t take things too...Read full review »

It’s refreshing, fun, and sobering to discover so much about American presidents from a British perspective. Thoughtful context, amazing AmeriCAN accents and OMG Warren Harding. Thanks, Rob and Jamie!

This is awesome. Started listening to it to impress a guy, kept listening because it’s a great podcast! Super informative and absolutely hilarious. Totalus Rankium has become my new obsession. Of course I’m catching up from the beginning, but I’m learning a lot. And I’m very amused by their ranking system. The Andrew Jackson episode was a favorite (despite him being trash). I’m trying to not binge, but I’m excited to see where they go with...Read full review »

Discovered this podcast in late May and binged it until I caught up to where you guys are now. I love learning about the presidents with Rob and Jamie (Van Buren, Hayes, Harding, and Nixon were some of my favorites), because it’s been very interesting, but also very entertaining and funny. Great podcast! If you can handle the fact that these two guys are clearly left leaning politically, they really have done their research, although very opinionated. If you’re a conservative you’ll be put off by some of the opinions here. e.g. democrat and republican parties (both very racist in...Read full review »

Informative and silly—exactly what I look for in a podcast. The recent riff about “treacherous currants” really tickled me. You guys are fantastic! Thank you for all your hard work in putting this together.

Did I mention this and the Roman Emperors podcast were the first podcast I ever listened to? Masterful and self-referential and snarky in the best way. Gets us to do our own research to link up with the “I’m not going into that, tariffs are boring” segments. I literally found it by looking up...Read full review »

Saw a recommendation for this podcast in a comment section on Instagram… I figured I’d try it out (it was one amongst many) and it’s my new go-to podcast. Love listening to the commentary. I started this by way of research into George Washington, intending only to listen to that episode. I found Rob and Jaime in 2021 and was immediately hooked. They are literally laugh out loud (Jaime’s accents!!!) and offer American historical commentary from a British perspective. They are changing what I thought of both American and Presidental history, and it’s a great thing!!

This is American history told with a heavy British bias. Years ago I remember hearing Rob complain in the preface of Roman Emperors T.R. that oh so many Americans have covered the them! I stumbled across this podcast and was very happy I did. I find them engaging and entertaining, covering the topic in sufficient depth. They are objective and insightful- objectivity being somewhat difficult to achieve with the polarities of American politics! Good stuff!
