Once I was a few episodes in, I realized KC has to be a bounty Hunter which lends a lot of credibility on his part to what he’s said. I wish there were a lot more people like him doing good works. Sam should stop being so very offended that America has the 2nd Amendment. Criminals shouldn’t be...Read full review »

I got thru the first episode where he claimed he to take out 2 men with one hand in a trailer. Then he claimed kidnappers were ringing up their intended victims in advance to warn them they were about to kidnap them for money. Guy has issues. He may mix some partial facts into this nonsense but...Read full review »

I have listened to this twice as of today. It is immensely entertaining and entirely made up. If you listen to the details you can see that it doesn’t add up. The Journalist does a good job warning of the uncertainty but should have come to the conclusion in the end that it is a story, albeit, a...Read full review »

I choose to believe that KC is really what he says he is (mostly bc I know people who are like him) and I LOVE this podcast! It’s far more than entertaining- it’s also educational, emotional, FASCINATING, funny, and, sometimes, heartbreaking. Whether you believe KC’s stories are true or not, you...Read full review »

I got to episode 2 and then gave up. In this episode KC states his family don’t know what he does and then precedes to tell a story about how his daughter didn’t want him to leave a family barbecue to find a little girl that had been kidnapped but when he explains the situation his daughter says...Read full review »

KC is a fascinating individual and such a character. At times I felt sorry for him because he feels he has had to take on such huge moral and social responsibilities . He has incredible empathy towards those in society that he feels are being treated unfairly. He acts pro-socially in his own way....Read full review »

Any other Canadians listening to the episode on Canada rolling their eyes? If I may offer KC some edits to improve his story telling: we do not in fact use snow mobiles as regular vehicles instead of cars, they are recreational vehicles; snow shoes are not sneaky, they are cumbersome; you would...Read full review »

This is such an amazing recounting of KC’s stories!! I know some people don’t believe him but I do! I would call him if I ever needed help!! Sam did such a great job with the perfect amount of care and questioning his truths! I would love there to be more!!

KC is a total fantasist. I gave up half way through episodes 2. Don’t waste your time on this.

Regardless of whether you end up believing that KC is what he says he is, you won’t be able to avoid being entertained and entranced by his intelligence and ability to tell a story. I actually hope he is real, and I find that slightly terrifying about myself.

I honestly don’t even care if KC is the real deal. The story telling here is so immersive and compelling, I was hooked from the first episode. Of course I think some of these are exaggerated, then again, I also think Americans’ take on gun and violence culture is very extreme for European...Read full review »

The man can spin a yarn, but I’m not sure why the journalist allows him to present these fantasies without ever challenging them. Some of the stories Kc tells would definitely result in innocent people getting killed. If he isn’t a fantasist then he’s certainly a mass murderer.

Utter garbage. Not even entertaining. This guy is such a liar. No Native American would event correct someone and say, “no, I’m an Indian.”

I want to listen further out of curiosity before admiring his administration of raw justice (let’s face it; the ‘justice’ system seems to be somewhat inept. I’m on Ep3. This is a great listen. If a buddy cop movie included scenes where they “bounce a guy’s head off the car” FOR NO REASON…the entire audience is GONE. the senseless violence added as the storyteller got little bursts of serotonin (from the female attention) bored me to pieces and I quit the series. To be quite honest I did question a lot at the beginning when I was listening to the stories by KC and I am sure there was some exaggeration. What a journey it has been and I am so thankful I got to see and admire this man’s actions. To the podcast creators and especially the narrator thank you.

This should be filed under the Fiction/Mental Health genres, not True Crime! I would not have listened to it, but if I did, I would still give it a negative review! Look - Sam starts off the podcast by warning the listener that this guy she’s speaking with, KC, could be absolutely full of it. So why are people surprised/rating this low? I’m totally in two minds about the reality or dream world that KC lives in. …entertaining from the viewpoint that you don’t often get to hear a sociopathic liar go off for this long in this much detail. Sam Walker taps into the American obsession with the fictional ex military hero living by his rules. It’s like a delusional Jack Reacher that can’t stop making up stories about himself. The false humility is almost as tiring as the outlandish stories.
