Odd
I’ve listened to the entire series but I’ll admit I didn’t love it. The host/narrator sounds fake and insincere. There are times, I feel like he had just told what he thought was the funniest joke ever.

Less than five minutes into episode one I realized James Renner plays a role in this podcast. Not a fan of people who make up conspiracies and shares them as truths.

Did a great job at hitting all the bases of the case while keeping it interesting.

Thank you for bringing light to this case… crazy that Renner may have seen the actual abductor! So sketchy! Let’s get on that DNA! Thanks again!

I can not even begin to understand her Mother’s and family’s pain. Thank goodness for those who did not give up on you and your search 💔

What a great podcast my only complaint is that the podcast went by so quick. Looking forward to more from this host.

The host is so out of tune with the content of the podcast. He sounds strangely cheery through much of the podcast, and when he attempts for a serious tone he sounds fake, and comes across as completely cheesy. Lots of “dramatic” filler as well. Do not recommend.

I remember this murder. I grew up in Cleveland. I remember this one vividly.

Are you interested in hearing about James Renner’s childhood? If so, this podcast is for you. This could’ve been a great podcast. However, Renner’s ego seems to never let it be just about the victim.

I really enjoyed hearing Amy’s story. The pod was done well. It hit on all cylinders for me, given that I was also 10 in 1989 in the Midwest and it isn’t hard to imagine Amy’s life or the circumstances leading to her death. I hope someday her family gets closure.

This is a great podcast. Well done and professional.

I just recently came across this one and I really love how well out together and researched this podcast is. The narrator does a great job telling her story and hopefully her family will have peace.

I really wanted to keep listening to this because I did want to know more about Amy’s case, but I couldn’t finish episode 3 because the host has this weirdly cheerful and fake tone that ruins it. He sounds like a narrator for like American Idol or some reality show, with exaggerated tones; it’s...Read full review »

Sorry- couldn’t listen to this- I am so sick of James Renner. He is such a pompous ass- I’m out.
Gwenk44 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/12/20
Great true crime podcast with well researched and factual information. I also enjoy that there is no useless banter and the narrator knows how to hold an audience.
Ncabral1984 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/09/20
Excellent podcast! I think the thing that stands out to me the most in this case is that Amy would not have gone with someone she did not know. She was a smart girl! She knew the person the person she was meeting.

Dette var stusselige greier, maler på det samme halmstrået i alle episoder

Amy
I think the narrator was wonderful in the way he verbalize things. Very informative even though I read the Renner book. Well done podcast.

Excellent production. Highly recommend it.
PiperOlly via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 03/28/20
Disappointing. This podcast is mainly about James Renner, the author of a book about Amy’s murder. Also, host is very cheerful. Hard to listen to.

Very well done. Great job

I tried to listen to this podcast twice months apart. The narrator is incredibly upbeat for the subject matter, and there is too much joking banter. As a TV journalist myself it’s hard to listen to.
Missmoonriver via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 02/21/20
This podcast isn’t about Amy. once again James Renner makes it all about himself.

Nice and tight storytelling of a very familiar case. Great job!

A well crafted and sensitively conveyed podcast. I really loved the hosts’ styles. Despite the case being unresolved, there was ample scope for interesting analysis.

Such a good podcast- editing and narration is on point. Horrific, but interesting story, I only wish the series was longer!

The pod is very well researched, deep deep dive. The last few minutes had me crying.

It’s an interesting podcast but it’s pretty short.
Melbanie via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 01/15/20
Overly buoyant narrator leads us to toothless and unsatisfying shrug of the shoulders ending. No names of suspects used despite them being abundantly clear in the public record - and this podcast is maybe the only place on the interwebs where Renner doesnt tell people it was most likely Dean...Read full review »

I’ve binged almost all true crime pods and I enjoyed listening to this. It’s really good until the last episode. I get that it’s not solved but it was really anticlimactic.
Tttia75 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 01/11/20
For some reason, the narrator gives up half a dozen plot points in the story in the opening prologue. So unnecessary. Skip the prologue. The rest of the podcast is great. Gripping, tragic, well-produced. I wish it went longer. The ending is genuinely touching. 5 stars.
Mikey71080 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 01/06/20
Ugh
I’ve followed this case for years. This was very “produced” and light on case details, rather focusing far too much on James’ life. And the narrator Andrew...UGH...far too upbeat for a murder podcast.
Monty9842 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 01/02/20
These 5 episodes could have been condensed into two-maybe even one-and been less repetitive. The story could be interesting but basically it’s an unsolved case that’s going nowhere and you don’t learn much about. It wasn’t bad.....but what’s to reccommend?
jdub_unclebuck via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 12/31/19
A tragic and terrifying story, well told and well produced.
Timbo Gee via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 12/26/19
Great series, in very easily digestible chunks. Please post an update if they test those hairs! 5 stars. RIP Amy! 😇 hopefully this Season of Justice will put your killer(s) behind bars!
FixiMovie2018 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 12/25/19
This podcast provided a cursory review of a crime alongside very little detail/facts and bunch of imaginary images and speculation. There is zero effort made to investigate the crime, find new information or even just a new view. This barely qualifies as exposure. All together the series is a...Read full review »

I listened to the series and the story was interesting and I learned a lot. BUT. The hosts sucked. It sounded like the main guy, not James, really wants a job with ABC news. The way they presented it sounded like Killing on the Cape which was not good. It’s a quick listen if you can ignore the...Read full review »

I think it was well done and necessary story. I witnessed this important unsolved crime as I grew up near bay in river. But personally i think the narrator sounded too polished and happy for my taste. I would have preferred him to play it down a bit/ more down to earth. I can only assume he is a...Read full review »

Why have this knob on a great podcast? He’ll make everything about himself. I never made it out of the first podcast. He’s a creepy dude.

Extensive work into the biggest local mystery of my lifetime. Outstanding work by all involved.
C DUB99 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 11/28/19
Although a sad story this is a totally pointless podcast, don’t waste your time. No investigation carried out from the host, and what they do find out they don’t provide details. Simply poor.
DTCrawford via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 11/26/19
Amy was only two years older than me. I can imagine myself in her shoes. Sad the whole pod cast is less than 2 hours long.
JHud9876 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 11/23/19
I just can’t... Is this a podcast about Amy or James Renner? I’m 3 episodes in and it honestly seems more about Renner’s childhood and all these insane claims he’s making. No facts, no corroboration, just nonsense. Please, don’t waste your time. Deleted from library and unsubscribed!!

This was a captivating listen - it almost made me late for work! Keep them coming. Great production value. I knew about the case as child, but this gave new insight and perspective.
