A must
Is your Life/Anime ratio balanced? Do you like anime just fine but find yourself out pursuing other interests and hobbies? If you answered yes to either of those questions you need this podcast ASAP. Seriously though, All of the hosts are super likeable and it feels like sitting down with a bunch of friends that you have never met. In addition, the hosts are very knowledgable and bring a diverse set of interests/tastes to the show. They do not only cover the "popular" series that everyone else is already talking about but lesser known series and older classics as well. Their criticism (positive and negative) are quite specific and they will often look for something to like even in shows they really hated. They are also honest in their feedback and are willing to discuss what they like/dislike about various series even if fandom considers this heresy. That said - they do not fall into the trap of disparaging everything as some do - to be edgy or whatever. (That said - I can not genuflect at the Pope's moe-crushing alter.). You can tell they have a deep passion for this art form and the types of stories that will be told. Also there is not much that is cuter than hearing Mandi go on a tear about a manga, anime, or even just a collectable that she loves. One warning - have a notepad nearby or the app open on your phone while you listen. You will want to write down many of the titles they mention. Also - your "to view" list is going to get really long.Read full review »
