I am them, they are me.
When I was going through a really hard time working in a toxic job and was burnt out beyond belief, intrusive thoughts overtook my mind. I didn't understand how normal they were until now. I wish I had known then because I thought I was losing my mind. It took me 7-8 months to recover from severe burn out and lots of inner work/therapy to realize that it was plain ol' anxiety/intrusive thoughts. Hearing about two therapist who struggle with anxiety say some of the intrusive thoughts I've had is SO validating. I am so glad they are talking about this because they can sound really "crazy" but we all have them, they're just not talked about as much so they hold a stigma. Thank you for this podcast. Thank you for this episode most of all. Thank you for making me feel like I'm not alone. --Laura aka @traveljerzgirlRead full review »
