No substitute for the real thing
I suppose it's helpful if you have the right study materials for it. I find myself getting lost in the grammar lessons which I don't think are taught in the best order. I think Arabic is probably too difficult a language to be taught virtually since you can't ask the teacher to elaborate with certain concepts especially given the fact that, as far as I can see, it's very different from languages of Latin origin. So if your like me and just looking to get a basic understanding of Arabic in a casual, strictly iPod way, this course (and perhaps this language) isn't for you. For now I'll seek free Arabic lessons elsewhere.
