Great for Moroccan Arabic, but it's not exactly a dialect spoken by many so don't expect to make too much sense to the majority of the Arab world.

Very good and useful ,but i think it's need to be in genre (Moroccan arabic dialect) not as is submitted as Arabic because its mixture of Arabic and frensh language .i appreciate the effort.

Well thought out, useful phrases and repetition but the focus on Moroccan dialect makes me unsure of which words I could use in other Arabic countries. I would love to see a Gulf Arabic version of this.

I find these lessons very helpful. They don't overwhelm me with too much information at once, pronunciation is clear and concise and gives me a chance to learn the concept and sound. However, I am having a hard time finding links to downloading the PDF files. I recommend it Tony

I used these basic phrases while traveling in Morocco in the Spring of 2009. It was quite helpful. The number seqment helped me out tremendously while buying basics in the souks. However, I speak spanish and french and was amazed at how many people speak spanish in Morocco. In the touristy...Read full review »

Very good - does what it says, only downside is the slightly irritating introduction which is repeated on each episode, but the contents are excellent.

The Arabic spoken in Lebanon (and Syria) is more commonly known as Eastern Arabic. In Arabic, although there are many dialects there are two main accepted standards--much like Cantonese Chinese and Mandarin Chinese--there are Egyptian Arabic and Eastern Arabic.

This was helpful but I cannot find any podcasts on certain dialects of Arabic such as Lebanese... since many of the arabic phrases and words differ slightly, I don't want to use the Egyptian or Morrocan dialect but can't seem to find any Lebanese anywhere...

I don't agree with the review that stated that this is only useful in Morocco. I lived and work in Riyadh Saudi Arabia, this was VERY similar if not exact! Well done, I hope that they develop a more comprehensive one to expand my vocabulary.

Although this podcast is good, and kudos to whomever is making it, unfortunately this Arabic which you are learning here is only understandable in Morocco and you can get away with in the rest of Arabic countries of North Africa (3-4 countries the most), if you are planning to speak in Arabic to...Read full review »

I was very excited to find this podcast. . .it's clear pronounciation and explanations have made learning the basics so much easier. . .I can only hope that they put a more comprehensive "Learn Arabic Podcast" (if they haven't already) on iTunes. . .I would definitely subscribe!!!

The podcast is really good in providing basic Morrocan dialect of the Arabic language. Thus, the podcast should have been described to be Morrocan Arabic rather than standard Arabic which might confuse some listerners.

At the end of one lesson, you will be able to pronounce exactly one or two phrases perfectly. And that's about it. Maybe that's enough for a podcast, I don't know. But if you want to learn vocabulary and/or have any familiarity with this language, this is not the podcast for you.

This really is great, especially for me because I'll be starting an Arabic course next semester. Now I have a head start!

A very good, reliable course in Arabic. I have been trying to find out how words are pronounced and thanks to this I have. Very easy to understand.

I've spent far too long searching for a clear and helpful podcast for learning Arabic, and so far this is the best I've found. Just as the title indicates, you'll learn only the barest of vocabulary, and certainly nothing in terms of reading or writing. However, the basics that are taught are...Read full review »
