“I've really enjoyed these episodes - found it through the NY Times article about classical music podcasts. I really like the host, Rhiannon, and her low-key, personable approach to talking about the pieces. I also really like the comments and insights that she gets from the singers and musicologists. The third interviewee on each episode (an expert in child development, for example, to talk about Caro Nome), are kind of hit-and-miss - a lot of the stuff they say tends to be pretty obvious or not super relevant (although I enjoyed hearing a real sex worker's perspective on La Traviata), but I still really enjoy each episode overall. I would love more episodes, particularly focusing on less well-known pieces!”Read full review »
