“I like the frank and unfiltered discussion. I don't like the 3 to 4 minutes of plugs that I have to listen to, sandwiching their broadcasts. I also found background noise (including phones ringing) to be a bit of a distraction. I take it they do this podcast from the comic book store, while it's in operation. The crew also has a tendency to talk over one another. On at least one episode, the guy who's reading the news releases was having a very hard time getting them out smoothly; it was clear he hadn't really looked at them much prior to presentation time. On the positive side, I think they have good insights on comics and they do a nice job at articulating their POVs. I will continue to subscribe because as a whole, the good outweighs the bad, but there are several other comic podcasts that have this one beat. I'm going to go back and listen to some of the archived editions with comics creators. Some of the names they've had over the last year are quite intriguing and some redemption may occur.”Read full review »
